Nipuni Panamaldeniya

Nipuni is a graduate of the University of Ottawa Common Law Program. Nipuni has a broad- based litigation practice which includes corporate/commercial litigation, real property and land development disputes, and general contractual disputes. Nipuni has experience acting as counsel at trials (second chair) and arbitrations including making oral and written submissions before the court.

Before joining Teplitsky, Colson LLP, Nipuni completed her articles in the commercial litigation department of a boutique Toronto law firm and went on to practice at a firm specializing in procurement and corporate law related disputes. While at law school, Nipuni worked at a number of legal clinics including the University of Ottawa Community Legal Aid Clinic and the Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic, where she gained experience serving clients with diverse legal needs.

Nipuni has a keen interest in real property law related disputes and is a Member-at-Large of the Ontario Bar Association’s Real Property Law Section Executive for the 2021-2022 year. In her free time, she volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario.

Nipuni works directly with James Wortzman, Jonathan Kulathungam, Karey Dhirani, Catherine Allen, and Jared Wortzman.
